Smart Steering Lock
The steering lock gets out of your way automatically.
How it works
When you power on the scooter, push the handlebars to the left stop. The vehicle service reads the position via the steering lock sensor and releases the lock with an audible click. No button press, no menu, just grab and go.
After shutdown you have about 60 seconds to push the handlebars to the left stop. The lock engages as soon as you get there, so you are not waiting on a timer. If you never move them into position, the window simply closes.
Why this exists
Previously, locking and unlocking was tied rigidly to the lock and unlock actions themselves. Librescoot decouples it, so you get a window to position the handlebars rather than having to get it right at the moment you lock. It's a small thing, but it makes the daily lock-unlock-ride cycle noticeably smoother.
