Quick start
The essential things to know right after installation. Opening the menu, the shortcut menu while riding, Update Mode for maps and firmware updates, and entering and saving navigation destinations.
Opening the menu
In park mode, open the on-display menu with two short pulls on the left brake lever in quick succession. Inside the menu, the left brake scrolls through entries and the right brake selects or goes back. What each brake currently does is shown at the bottom of the screen as a hint.

Shortcut menu while riding
While riding, a compact shortcut menu is available, operated entirely from the seatbox switch on the handlebar. That way you don't have to take a hand off the bars.
- Hold the seatbox switch. After half a second the shortcut menu appears and starts cycling through its entries every ¾ second on its own.
- Once the entry you want is highlighted, release the switch. Your selection stays marked for one second.
- Within that second, briefly press the seatbox switch again to run the action.
A double short tap on the seatbox switch toggles the hazard lights directly, without going through the menu.
Maps and updates over USB
Maps, routing data, and firmware updates reach the scooter through Update Mode. You don't need a SIM card in the scooter, and you don't have to open the housing – just a USB Mini-B cable:
- Power the scooter up and open the menu.
- Pick .
- Connect the scooter to your laptop via USB. It mounts as a removable drive; copy files into it and then eject it cleanly. The scooter processes the files and reboots automatically.
Which files go where (map tiles, routing tiles, .mender updates) is described on USB File Transfer (Update Mode).
Entering and saving a navigation destination
Navigation is set up directly on the scooter, no phone needed:
- Open the menu, go to Navigation.
- Pick one of the three sources:
- Enter address – pick city, then street, then (optionally) house number from the address registry on the scooter.
- Recent destinations – a list of places you've ridden to recently.
- Saved places – save your own places and recall them later, like „home" or your current location before a trip.
- Put the scooter in drive mode. The speedometer switches to the map view and navigation runs.
The first time around, map and routing data have to be installed. If navigation isn't responding, go through the previous section and copy the right packages onto the scooter via Update Mode.

What's next?
- Getting started – the long version: boot, teaching in keycards, function check, short test ride.
- Riding – unlocking, riding, parking, the automatic steering lock.
- The display – cluster anatomy and a complete icon legend (currently only in German).
